Ferry Grott is a German trumpeter, flugelhorn player, producer, studio musician and publisher from Potsdam.

Ferry Grott became interested in music at a very early age. He began playing the piano at the age of eight and switched to the trumpet at the age of ten. He attended the music school in Potsdam from 1972 to 1980. From 1980 to 1984, he studied jazz trumpet at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin with jazz trumpeter Hans-Joachim Graswurm.

In 1988 he played in the jazz orchestra of the GDR under the direction of Conny Bauer.

From 1986 until today he has been a permanent member of Gerhard “Hugo” Laartz’s Modern Soul Band.

Ferry Grott has been working as a music producer since 1993 and moves confidently between different musical styles. He combines these in his productions to create exciting songs for the dancefloor. He also works with artists such as the Berlin DJ JUMBLE, Ta-Lar, Ricardo Miguel Fernandez and The little yellow Pony, who remix his songs.
